In Nature we Trust

Why companies need to appoint more young leaders.

POSSIBLE’s recent In Nature we Trust report, produced in collaboration with our research practice, Mobium, and with technical and subject matter input from climate change advisory and solutions firm Pollination was quoted extensively in AFR BOSS magazine in June 2023.

BOSS editor Sally Patten interviewed POSSIBLE and Mobium founder Andrew Baker to understand how Australians think about about nature, what they expect governments and businesses to do to protect it, and how they would like to have information communicated to them about it.

Patten’s take on the research, sensibly, was that there is a strong need for new blood, with a deep understanding of the role nature plays in the economy and the risks and opportunities nature presents for business, in the boardrooms of Australian companies. Our research shows that younger Australians are much more likely to have that perspective than older generations.

The September release of the Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) guidelines and this month’s release of the landmark Legal Opinion on Nature-related risk and directors' duties, also highlights the need for nature to be taken seriously in corporate Australia.

POSSIBLE Strategy and its partners have deep expertise in helping organisations to engage their board, staff, customers, investors, partners and other stakeholders on their strategy to compete and win in a nature-positive economy.
